Final Term Paper (TCC)

At the School of Computing and Informatics (FCI), the Final Term Paper (TCC) is a mandatory curricular activity for the Bachelor’s programs in Computer Science, Information Systems, and Mathematics Education. It consists of an academic investigation on a topic related to the fields of knowledge covered in these FCI courses. The TCC is developed under the supervision of an FCI professor, aligned with the research lines of each program.

The project unfolds across three courses: Research Methodology in Computing (MPC), TCC-I, and TCC-II. In MPC, the student defines the research topic and advisor, and prepares an initial project proposal. During TCC-I and TCC-II, the research is carried out under the advisor's guidance. Preliminary results are presented in a poster session, and final results are compiled into a complete scientific article. Both the poster and the article are evaluated by the advisor and two additional faculty members at the end of TCC-II.
