Post-Doctoral Intership Abroad

A post-doctoral is a specialization or an academic internship held at a university to improve the level of excellence in a given area. This is for those who already have a PhD after completing a doctorate, the researcher has the option to further develop their studies in a specific area.

In order to encourage completion of this type of specialization, the Council for the Coordination of the Improvement of Higher Education (CAPES), the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Studies and Projects Financing Agency (Finep) created a national post-doctoral program. The objective is to finance the work of post-doctoral researchers in strategic areas related to industrial, technological and foreign trade policy.

Those interested in joining the program should seek information at the institution where they intend to do the internship or specialization, and from the research funding agencies: the Council for the Coordination of the Improvement of Higher Education (CAPES), and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
