Mackenzie Presbyterian University welcomes graduate students from around the world to engage in high-level academic and research activities.

If you are enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program, there are four primary pathways to join us:

Students may apply to specific opportunities funded by the Brazilian government or internal Mackenzie initiatives. These are often linked to strategic research themes and may include scholarship opportunities.

How to join: Regularly check the official calls published by Mackenzie

If you wish to conduct part of your thesis research at Mackenzie or collaborate with one of our research groups, this flexible pathway is for you.

The length of your stay is determined by your research plan and the agreement between your home advisor and your Mackenzie supervisor.

Identify and contact a Mackenzie professor whose work aligns with your research. Once they agree to host you, develop a Work Plan. Our International Office will then formalize the stay and assist with the necessary administrative steps.

UPM maintains specific agreements with select partner universities that allow students to obtain degrees from both institutions simultaneously.

Consult your home university’s International Office to see if a Double Degree agreement exists for your specific program and to understand the selection criteria.
