About us

EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries. The network promotes U.S. higher education around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions in the United States.

EducationUSA Mackenzie is the result of a partnership between Mackenzie Presbyterian University and the U.S. Department of State. Our office aims to facilitate access U.S. higher education by providing a series of services, such as advising sessions, certified translations of documents and events with American universities.


Advising sessions

Advising sessions are a personalized service to help with the application process to universities in the United States. The academic levels available for advising sessions include undergraduate and graduate courses, post-doctorate, short-term programs and medical residency.

EducationUSA advisers follow the 5 Steps to U.S. Study methodology. Thus, it is possible to understand the application process for American universities from choosing universities to traveling to the United States.

Advising sessions at all academic levels are online or in-person, depending on your preference. For mackenzistas, the first session is free of charge.

You can schedule your orientation in advance through the following link. Select the desired level of study, indicate a date and time and enter your personal information. We will soon send you an e-mail confirming the appointment.


Certified translations

As EducationUSA is a network of the U.S. State Department, it is authorized to create certified translations of academic and financial documents to American universities.

To request a quote for a translation, fill out the following form. You will receive a response with the quote, deadlines and payment methods, as well as procedures for formalizing your request.


Events

Conversation Club

COI (Coordination of International and Interinstitutional Cooperation) and EducationUSA bring to all mackenzistas the Conversation Club, a weekly and free of charge opportunity to improve conversation skills in English.

During the second half of 2022 we will have 10 meetings, each with a different theme.

Participants are expected to have an intermediate or advanced English level. If your English level is basic, you are invited to join the sessions as a listener.

UPM students who participate in five or more sessions will receive a certificate at the end of the semester.

Our meetings are on Tuesdays, from 5:15 PM to 6:45 PM (Brasilia time). In the second semester, our meetings start on 8/16 and end on 10/25.

Living Your Best College Life in U.S. Higher Education Institutions

Do you want to study Law in the United States? Join this live with EducationUSA advisers in Sao Paulo on 10/07 at 5 PM!

Salao do Estudante

Salao do Estudante is one of the largest educational fairs in Latin America.

The event has more than 150 exhibitors aiming to bring options for those seeking to study abroad.

During the event, you will be able to meet and speak directly with representatives from many U.S. Higher Education Institutions.

You can also attend lectures with specialists in international education about the application process and student visas, for example.

Design Thinking: Put Innovation into Practice

Do you want to learn more about different Design tools and put innovation into practice? Then you join this workshop with Iowa State University!

This two-day innovation workshop led by Ana Luz, Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Iowa State University, is a unique opportunity to explore what you think, imagine and want on your next academic journey.

You will be able to rethink problems and create new solutions by sharing your experiences and ideas for the future.
