Carlos Marcelo Campos Teixeira, professor from the Design program from Mackenzie’s Architecture and Urbanism School, received the Design for a Better World Award 2022, for his project named “Cazoolo” which had the involvement of two Mackenzie Students.
The Design for a Better World Award 2022 is an award that recognizes projects that positively impact society to strive for a better world, with six main categories: Design, Graphic Design, Digital Design and UX/UI; On-line and Off-line communication; Architecture and Building; Cities and Concepts. All the projects were evaluated under three criteria: DESIGN, taking in consideration points such as: aesthetics, format, function, usage context and experience and target audience. INNOVATION, originality of proposed solution, degree of preparation and complexity, uniqueness, economical feasibility, environmental feasibility, degree of problem solving and competitiveness. And lastly, IMPACT over the life cycle, material, production, consumption, logistics and Social Impact and usage.
“We’re glad to be recognized by this successful community, that reflects values ahead of its times and that, once again, recognizes the seniority and international accreditation of our project process, that has been helping Brazilian and foreign companies to strive for excellence in their respective field for more than 30 years.” The professor said.
The project was developed by the professor’s office, Marcelo Teixeira Studion, in conjunction with CBA+B+G, becoming the first Packing Development Center for Circular Economy of Brazil, in a collaborative process with Braskem. The project aims to accelerate packing development and help companies to reach their Packing goals in the following years.
