Post-Doctorate under the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism

Development of a research project intended for the holder of a Doctor’s diploma from a program accredited in Brazil or a foreign Higher Learning Institution, provided an agreement is in place between the countries involved and/or said degree has been validated or recognized pursuant to the relevant law.

• Requirements: supervision from member of  Program’s tenured faculty.
• Duration: minimum six (06) months and maximum twenty-four (24) months, extension possible if the applicant has financial support from a foreign agency involving different timeframes.
• Application: may be submitted at any time by filing a Post-Doctorate Proposal using the appropriate form, together with the relevant research project and the opinion of the supervisor and Program Coordinator.
• The research project must be aligned with one of the PPGAU UPM’s Research Lines, clearly indicating the proposed research project’s scientific or technical challenges, methods and relevance of the expected results for the advancement of knowledge in the Program’s Area of Focus, and must also include an activities schedule.
