Strategic Finance (FINAN)
The strategic finance line of research aims to analyze how companies and managers make decisions about raising and allocating resources, with the goal of creating value. This is achieved through the integration of financial theory (classical and behavioral), empirical data (corporate and macroeconomic), econometric modeling, and technological innovations (artificial intelligence and digital assets), in order to validate market practices and promote sustainable development

Human and Social Management at Organizations (GHSO)
The Human and Social Management in Organizations (HSMO) research area investigates organizational phenomena from a human and social perspective, aimed at fostering innovative and socially responsible management processes. It encompasses cutting-edge research on learning (individual, collective, and organizational), transformative organizational learning, intergenerational learning, education for sustainability, competency development, organizational culture, and human and organizational values. Furthermore, it covers contemporary themes such as interculturality, dignity in and of organizations, social entrepreneurship, digital transformation, age diversity, aging, longevity, and intergenerational relations in the workplace. Research within this track adopts pluralistic approaches, combining quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, while considering multiple levels of analysis (micro, meso, and macro).
The area aligns with contemporary societal challenges, with a primary focus on SDGs 8 and 10, in addition to contributing to SDGs 4, 5, 11, 12, and 16.

Knowledge, Strategy, and Innovation (CEI)
It aims to study the development and performance of organizations of different sizes and segments of the economy, focusing on modern technologies for managing their internal and external resources, whether tangible, intangible, or technological. Studies are based on contemporary themes, such as knowledge management, intra and inter-organizational dynamics, industry structure, sources of competitive advantages, evolutionary theories, dynamic capacity of organizations, strategic operations, logistics and supply chain management, business models, and innovation strategies, aiming to understand and propose adjustments for the organization in its organizational capabilities that meet the demands of the sectors in which they operate, focusing on the creation, capture and appropriation of value, and on strategic and competitive performance.
