Dr. Vasconcelos holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and Accounting by Federal University of Pernambuco (Portuguese: Universidade Federal de Pernambuco – UFPE), a Master’s degree and a PhD in Controllership and Accounting by the University of São Paulo. He is an active associate professor of UFPE. In addition, published several articles in journals, papers and annals of events in the last three years. Author of technical production works. He has been a regular supervisor in the Master's Program in Accounting and has supervised 15 master's degree dissertations and carried out various scientific projects along with the supervision of undergraduate final papers in the fields of Business Administration and Accounting. He regularly teaches in undergraduate courses, specialization courses and in the master's degree program in accounting sciences of UFPE. In his professional activities, he interacted with more than 40 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific works. In his State Official CV (Lattes) the most frequent terms in the contextualization of scientific production are Manufacturing Industry, Cost Accounting, Controllership, Professional Profile, Managerial Accounting and Accounting Information.
He develops projects for diagnosis and cost modeling of and management information systems. Former head of the Department of Accounting Sciences and former director of the Center for Social and Applied Sciences of UFPE (Portuguese: Centro de Ciências Sociais e Aplicadas – CCSA), former director of Controllership and former Proviost of Administrative Management of UFPE. Member of the Thematic Council of Foreign Trade of the Federation of Industries of the State of Pernambuco (Portuguese: Federação das Indústrias do Estado de Pernambuco -FIEP).
Professor Vasconcelos has served as a volunteer in several entities. He served as member of the University Academic Council of Mackenzie Presbyterian University for 5 years, as a member of the Patrimonial, Economic and Financial Board of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil, as an executive member of the Board of the Presbyterian College Agnes Erskine. He also served as a member of the Governance Committee of the Observatory of Recife – State of Pernambuco.
