Opportunity: postdoctoral fellowship in graphene plasmonics/nanophotonics

One postdoctoral position is offered to work in the field of graphene plasmonics and silicon photonics. This is a 2-year grant to work with a MackGraphe research team (São Paulo, Brazil), in collaboration with the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal), and the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL, Braga, Portugal). It is expected that the postdoctoral fellow get involved in the fabrication and characterization of optical waveguides based on silicon chips, and in the production of graphene nanoribbon devices placed on on them. The candidate must be familiar, preferably with previous experience, with the area of microfabrication of 2D material devices, as well as with the areas of optics/photonics. He/she must also have good communication skills, be fluent in English, and be available to make frequent trips to Campinas. The scholarship is awarded by FAPESP, whose rules require the candidate to have finished the PhD less than 7 years ago. Visit http://www.fapesp.br/en/5427 for more information, or write to the email address below. Applicants must submit their CV, contact information of up to 2 researchers who can provide letters of reference on their behalf, and a letter of their own demonstrating qualification for the proposed project. The documentation must be sent to mackgraphe@mackenzie.br before 28 Feb. 2020.

Graduate students

Graduate students (Master or Doctoral degree) from Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology, and Electrical and Computer Engineering can do research at MackGraphe facilities, under advising of our professors.
