The postdoctoral is intended for the didactic-scientific improvement of PhD researchers. It is developed through a research project, related to one of the research lines of the Program, preferably financed by a development agency. It lasts up to 24 (twenty four) months, renewable every 12 (twelve) months. The registration can be done at any time and will occur through the referral of Proposal to the Coordination of the PPGA.
The postdoctoral stage consists of the development of a research project, aimed at the holder of the Doctor's degree. There is no cost of registration and fees for the postdoctoral.
The Post-Doctoral Program in the PPGA is regulated by the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Regulation (18/2014) -as we reproduce below:
Art. 19. The postdoctoral degree at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie consists of the development of a research project, directed to the bearer of the title of Doctor, of a course recognized in the Country or of a foreign HEI course, in accordance with the guidelines of the Dean of Research And Post Graduation.
§lº The Post-Doctorate is characterized by the activities carried out with the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program and under the supervision of a permanent teacher of the Program's framework.
§2º Teachers of the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie can not do postdoctoral studies at the institution.
Art. 20. The Post-Doctorate shall have a minimum duration of 3 (three) months and a maximum of 24 (twenty-four) months, as defined in the Program Regulations.
Single paragraph. Each Program shall stipulate, in its regulations, the maximum number of post-doctoral supervisions per teacher.
Art. 21. The Post-Doctorate may be carried out at any time, through the presentation and approval of a research project related to one of the Research Lines of the Graduate Programs of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
Art. 22. During the development of the research, the participant may use the academic structure of the Academic Unit to which he is linked, as well as the academic, medical and social services of the University.
Art. 23. No certificado de conclusão do Pós-Doutorado deverão constar nome do pós-doutorando, título do trabalho, Programa de Pós-Graduação, duração, Docente supervisor, Decano de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação e Reitor.
Art. 24. O Pós-Doutorado não gerará vínculo empregatício entre a Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie e o pós-doutorando.
