The workshop will be held at Accor´s Mercure Hotel São José dos Campos (Colinas - city centre). The hotel is very well located, with lots of neighbouring facilities for shopping, eating and services, at walking distance. Also, the hotel convention rooms are shared with another Accor hotel (Ibis), annexe to Mercure, thus allowing for a double option for easy and handy accomodation.
A special rate is available in the Mercure Colinas for the workshop attendees, covering the four nights of the period from Oct 9th to Oct 12th. In order to benefit from it, reservations have to be made by email, directly through the hotel (not through the hotel website). Just write an email to Anderson Luiz Bueno or Alexandre Grossl, at H5168-RE@accor.com.br, with your personal information (name, address and preferred form of payment), the dates of your arrival and departure, and specifying the promo code AUTOMATA2009.
The special rate, per night, with breakfast included, is
- Single room: R$ 121.00
- Double room: R$ 141.00
plus 5% service tax (ISS) + R$ 1.20 (tourism tax).
Car parking is available with the additional charge of R$ 7.00/day.
Annexe to the workshop hotel, also with direct access to the convention rooms, the Accor hotel Ibis São José dos Campos Colinas is also a very handy, though simpler accomodation option. Reservations at Ibis should be made directly at their website, but no special rate is available for the workshop attendees.
Notice that since there are other Mercure and Ibis hotels in the city, guide yourself by the location Colinas (or city centre).
Other hotel options one may wish to consider are as follows, but they will require transport by taxi:
Since the workshop will be held in a national holiday, it is likely that occupancy in all hotels in the city will be low at the time of the workshop. This means that if you make a late reservation, directly through any hotel website, you may get a better deal, the later the reservation is made. And this may even apply to the hotel of the workshop. But be warned that, although this seems likely, we cannot guarantee this will happen and neither that vacancies will be available lately.
